Heart Brooches

Eco-friendly designs in a variety of sizes, made from waste threads, tiny fabric remnants, foils and wool, free-machined onto a sandwich of wadding and stabilised felt or fleece base. The hearts are then stitched to a felt or fleece base, and a brooch pin is then attached to the back. All felt and fleece backings are small fabric remnants. Packaged in handmade recycled card Kraft boxes. Nothing is thrown away! Find out more about how these are made from my Blog post at https://www.suebatemantextiles.com/post/eco-design-heart-brooches

Animal Brooches

Lots of animals to choose from, including birds and snails with their colourful shells. Even a lion and a kangaroo! They are made from remnants of felt, often handmade, and fleece, free-machined onto a sandwich of wadding and felt or fleece base. A safety clasp is then stitched to the back. Packaged in handmade recycled Kraft boxes.

Halloween Brooches

A variety of fun brooches for Halloween! They are made from remnants of felt, and fleece, free-machined onto a sandwich of wadding and felt or fleece base. A safety clasp is then stitched to the back. Handmade in recycled Kraft boxes.

Zombie Brooches

'Scary' glow-in-the-dark brooches made with thread scraps encapsulated between layers of remnant organza, fleece and felt. A fine layer of Angelina Fibres have also been incorporated to add 'glitter' and the brooch is outlined with Glow-in-the-Dark white thread. Each 'boggly' eye has an added sequin for the pupil. It is difficult to capture the shiny and reflective texture in a photograph as the different threads change colour according to the light.

Each brooch has a silver safety clasp securely fastened to the back and they are packaged in a handmade recycled card Kraft box. An unusual and unique present!

To get the maximum effect from the Glow-in-the-Dark threads, expose to bright light for as long as possible before use to allow light to be absorbed.
